In the beginning, it all started with unknown calls. Unknown numbers rang me constantly. At first, I just thought it was some friend or something and wanted to make joke with me and tease me. But suddenly, those strangers started sending me threatening messages.

I continue to think it is a joke though I’ve already started feeling uncomfortable. But when they started saying they were going to attack me when I am going out from school, I really freek out.  A few times they even told me that they knew where I lived and that they would come to me.

I didn’t know what to do at all. Every time they called, I was terrified. I couldn’t stop thinking about what might happen. I thought about who wanted to do this to me and why.

I immediately thought of my classmates from my old school. I had a fight with them before I changed schools and I didn’t want us to have any contact with them anymore, but apparently, they didn’t agree and wanted to keep bullying me. But now, they have crossed the line with these threats, they really scared me a lot. They told me that the moment I left school I would die.

My dad contacted the Helpline of the Bulgarian Safer Internet Centre and was given guidelines for action. With the help of the consultant, we were directed on how to notify the school and the police about the case. With the guidance and support we received, we gradually confronted the challenges.  Both me and my father were so grateful for the advices we received on the Helpline. Now, all is good, but still when I recall the situation, I feel awful…
